Water System

Water is pumped to the cottages from the lake. An electric pump near Grandpa's camp pumps water to a tank on top of the hill, which is then fed to the cottages.

Opening camp

In the spring, we need to get the water working by performing the following steps:

  1. Open the valves on the water tank (I have no idea if we need to do this)
  2. Fill the tank
Note: The above was written by someone who has never open camp. It 100% is inaccurate.

Closing camp

In the fall, we need to prepare the equipment for winter by performing the following steps:

  1. Disconnect the pump
  2. Drain the tank
  3. Close the tank valves
Note: The above was written by someone who has never closed camp. It 100% is inaccurate.

The water tank

The take stores the water that feeds the camps. If it tank empties, no water for you!

The pump

At the beginning of the season, and if the water stops working randomly, you'll need to prime the pump. This involves filling it up with water before pushing the button in Grandpa's camp to turn it on.

Where is the pump?

The water pump can be found just passed Grandpa's camp. Walk around the hill to the left until you encounter a thick black pipe coming down from the top of the hill. Follow the pipe down towards the water.
